Introduction to the topic of agility and placing it in the proper context of complexity, change, and human nature. Many companies find their teams getting stuck during agile transformation and not gaining the necessary traction for change. Discovery day is an exploration of an organization’s existing operations and their tolerance level for change.
This initial session is geared towards the leaders of an organization, and explores not only what the organization is seeking from a change, but more importantly why. From here we clarify the the business problem we are solving with the change, and how to best avoid the pitfalls.
We introduce agility vocabulary and process for the leaders, and follow this up with an informal tour of the workplace and a series of interactions with team leaders and members. The day concludes with a honest and open management discussion about short and long-term objectives and goals and next steps.
Goal: Introduce executive leadership to key agile concepts and determine the next best step for the organization, which may include agile training and coaching for the team.
Audience: Executives, middle managers, frontline managers.
Additional Participants: Team members
